"Gary your stuck in dream world, when will you snap back in reality, when will you stop the party and do something with yourself"......
So let's analyze what's being said. Your living in dream world. In fact. One that im acting on. Snap back in reality , well i am in reality. It's very real, I'm really doing all of this stuff and really getting away with it. Hmm do something with myself? What else can I do? You tell me and Im on it! You see to me this "dream world" doesn't have to end it only continues. New ventures , new experiences and new places.
Right now in the USA their is roughly 16% unemployed, truly considering people who have stopped looking for work. Food and gas prices are on the rise and the dollar slowly but surely will be printed into oblivion. The people who are on unemployment waiting for someone to knock on their door and say i want to give you a job, now thats dream world. Traveling is cheaper and financially smarter! So i don't know exactly what i want to do with myself , The only way to find out is to try new things. Try everything to see what makes my clock tick. Let's look at retirement , work 30 years 50 hours a week if your lucky and collect a pension in 30 years (maybe) and then fulfill that dream trip across the atlantic to europe in my wheelchair. To me this isn't that appealing nor is it definite.
Many people rite now are finding out 30 years of work isn't paying off like they thought it would , they put in their time which is irreplaceable, for this notion in 30 years they will be drinking pina' coladas on the beach. "Reality" check it's not happening things change as they always will. So if the future of the world is so unclear why should your life plan be perfectly planned out. I think a better retirement would be around every few months. This way you don't need to wait 30 years to celebrate something you've accomplished today. Sounds good make's sense and hell it works for me.
Like the project you had for school that you had 2 months to do but somehow always found a way to complete it in 3 hours the night before. Why waste all of that irreplaceable time. Get your 6 months worth of work done in 3 and take the other 3 off . The gratification of the trip directly after completing something difficult will make you hungry for more not dreading work and the 8 hours a day you have to put in even if your day consist of 30 minutes of checking email and making phone calls.
Write a pro con list of the worst that could happen and all the benefits from this repetitive retirement and weigh the time lost and money lost. Which is replaceable? If you own your own business, give some more trust to your employees. Let them make their own decisions. Give them a hand in the pot and some gratitude. They too are working like slaves. If they make a mistake loose you some money while you are gone tell them what they are doing wrong and try to work with them so it wont happen again DON'T TAKE AWAY THEIR PRIVILEGES TO MAKE DECISIONS" . This will only make things worse for you and them.
Or if you have no employees try hiring some. elance.com is a good way to outsource all the dirty work you don't need to be doing, and at dirt cheap wages.
Who know's you may even make more money, but you don't know until you try.
